Baasteadmiste omandamine liikuvuse alustest, transpordisüsteemist, transpordi jätkusuutlikkusest ja seda mõjutavatest teguritest. Põhiteadmiste ja -oskuste omandamine transpordivõrgu ja -teenuste planeerimise põhialustest, transpordinõudluse ja liikuvuse kujunemisest, arengutest ning transpordiplaneerimise põhimõtetest ja transpordimõjudest.

Acquisition of basic knowledege and skills on transport networks, services planning , mobility generation, development and basic principles of trnasport planning and transportation impacts .

Tunneb liikuvusega seonduvaid põhimõisteid ja liikuvuse teoreetilisi aluseid, transpordisüsteemi planeerimise põhimõtteid, teede- ja tänavavõrgu planeerimise põhimõtteid ning transpordisüsteemi mõjusid. Sõnastab valdkonnaga seotud aktuaalsed probleemid ja tunneb olulisemaid põhimõtteid ning arengusuundi infrastruktuuri planeerimisel. Tunneb tehnilisi meetodeid planeerimisülesannete lahendamisel ja suudab iseseisvalt mõista ja rakendada normatiivdokumentides sätestatut. Näeb interdistsiplinaarseid seoseid taristu planeerimisel. Omab süsteemset ülevaadet transpordivõrgu ja -teenuste planeerimisest ning seostab need transpordi toimimisega. Tunneb liiklusohutuse ja säästliku transpordisüsteemi põhimõtteid ja rakendab neid infrastruktuuri planeerimisel.

Understands the basic concepts and theories of mobility, principles of transport planning, principles of street and road design and transportatiuon impacts. Can define the actual problems of the field and main principles and developments of infrastructure planning. Knows yhe technical methods of transport excercising and can independently understand and use the regulatory documents. Is able to see the interdisciplinary relations on infrastructure planning. Has acknowldeged the fundamentals of transport networks operation and planning. Understands the principles of sustainable transport planning and transport safety, is able to introduce on infrastructure planning activities.

Sissejuhatus - liikuvuse juhtimise ja korralduse alused. Liikuvussüsteemi jätkusuutlikkus kui transpordiplaneerimise väljakutse. Jätkusuutlik linnatransport . Ummikute probleemid . Ajalooline ülevaade - transpordiplaneerimise fookuse muutumine . Transpordi välismõjud . Teede ja tänavate projekteerimise alused . Erinevate liikumisviiside karakteristikud ja roll liikuvussüsteemis. Liikuvuse tekkimise põhimõtted - liiklusnõudlus ja liikuvus. Liikluse prognoosimine. Maanteede ja tänavate võrk ning teede liigitus. Liiklussagedus, läbilaskvus ja teenindustase. Projektkiirus. Liiklusohutuse ja keskkonnasäästlikkuse põhimõtted transpordi infrastruktuuri planeerimisel. Kauba- ja sõitjateveo planeerimise iseärasused. Transpordi kättesaadavuse analüüs ja hindamine planeerimisel. Integreeritud transpordistrateegiad. Linnaliikuvuse eripärad.

Introduction - fundamentals of mobility management and regulation. The sustainability of the mobility system as a main challenge of transport planning. Sustainable urban transport. Historical overview- main changes of the focus on transport planning. Principles of road and street design. The role and characteristics of the mobility modes. Principles of mobility generation - mobility demand and supply. Mobility forecasting. Road networks, and classification of roads. Traffic volume, density, capacity and level of service. Design speed.principles of road safety and environmental impact . Specific characteristics of freight and passenger transport. Transport accessibility and evaluation in the planning process. Integrated transport strategies. Specifics of urban traffic.
