To give an overview of main production technologies of wood-polymer composites. Classification of particleboard, fibreboard, plywood and other structural composites, wood-plastic composites. Physical and mechanical properties, quality assessments, and set-up of production line for different products manufacturing.

Students will know main types of wood-polymer composites and their production technologies. Students can orientate in materials, technological possibilities of main processing equipment can design wood-polymer composite products, knows their manufacturing processes, can evaluate quality of the products, test material properties and organize production line.

Puitpolümeerkomposiitide liigitus ja omadused Puitlaastplaatide liigitus, füüsikalis-mehaanilised omadused, katsetamine ja tootmine. Puitkiudplaatide liigitus, füüsikalis-mehaanilised omadused, katsetamine ja tootmine. Spooni lõiketöötlemise meetodid (Üllari konspekt spooni lõikamismasinad, meetodid), Vineeri liigitus, füüsikalis-mehaanilised omadused. Vineeri tootmine. Ristkihtpuitpaneelid, omadused, testimine ja tootmistehnoloogiad. Puitplastide liigitus, füüsikalis-mehaanilised omadused, katsetamine ja tootmine. Tselluloosse täiteainega komposiitide valmistamine.

Cross laminated timber (CLT) panels, properties, testing and production technology.
