Anda ülevaade erinevatest kaasaegsetest tekstiilmaterjalidest ning nende valmistusmeetoditest. Tutvustada kõrgsuutlikke kiudusid ja nende rakendusi. Anda ülevaade inteltekstiilmaterjalidest ja nende kasutusvaldkondadest. Tutvustada kaasaegsete tekstiilmaterjalide rakendusvaldkondi: sport, kaitserõivastus, meditsiin, erinevad tööstuslikud ja tehnilised tekstiilid jm.

To give an overview of different modern textile materials and their production processes. To introduce different high-performance fibres and their applications. To give an overview of intelligent textile materials and their applications. To introduce applications of modern textile materials: sport, clothing for protection, medicine, different industrial and technical textiles etc.

Oskab klassifitseerida tekstiilkiude ja teab nende omadusi, oskab seostada kiudude mikrotasandil olevaid omadusi tekstiilmaterjalide lõplike omadustega.
Tunneb erinevaid tekstiilmaterjalide (riie, trikotaaž, lausmaterjalid, liitmaterjalid jm) valmistamismeetodeid.
Omab ülevaadet erinevatest kõrgsuutlikest kiududest ja teab nende rakendusvaldkondi.
Tunneb ja teab pehme mööbli tööstuses kasutusel olevaid tekstiilmaterjale ja nahka.
Omab ülevaadet erinevatest intelmaterjalidest ning kaasaegsete tekstiilmaterjalide kasutusvaldkondadest.

The knowledge of the classification of textile fibres and their properties. Ability to associate fibre properties in microscopical level to textile materials properties.
Knows different textile materials (woven fabric, knitted fabric, nonwoven fabrics, composite materials etc.).

Has an overview of different textile materials (including leather) used in upholstery furniture industry.
Has an overview of different intelligent textile materials and knows applications of different modern textile materials.

Sissejuhatus tekstiilmaterjalidesse: kiud, niidid/lõngad, erinevad kangasmaterjalid (riie, trikotaaž jm) ja nende valmistamismeetodid.
Kaasaegsed tekstiilmaterjalide valmistamise meetodid: lausmaterjalid, liitmaterjalid jm.
Uudsed tekstiilmaterjalide viimistlusmeetodid.
Nahk ja karusnahk.
Kõrgsuutlikud kiud: ehitus, saamine ja omadused. Aramiidkiud, geelkedratud kõrgsuutlik polüetüleenkiud, süsinikkiud, klaaskiud, kemikaalikindlad kiud, kuumakindlad kiud jm.
Kõrgsuutlike kiudude kasutamine erirõivaste valmistamisel.
Inteltekstiilmaterjalid ja nende kasutamine.
Komposiitmaterjalides kasutatavad tekstiilkiud ja tekstiilmaterjalid.
Pehme mööbli tööstuses kasutatavad tekstiilmaterjalid ja nahk.
Kaasaegsete tekstiilmaterjalide erinevad kasutusvaldkonnad: sport ja rekreatsioon, tööstuslikud ja tehnilised tekstiilid, kaitserõivastus, meditsiinilised tekstiilid jm

Introduction to different textile materials: textile fibres, threads/yarns, different fabrics (woven fabric, knitted fabric etc) and their fabrication methods. Modern textile fabrication methods: nonwoven fabrics, composite fabrics etc.
Novel textile materials finishing processes.
Leather and fur.
High-performance fibres: structure, fabrication methods and properties. Aramid fibres, high-performance PE fibres, carbon fibres, glass fibres, chemical resistance fibres, heat resistance fibres etc. Application of high-performance fibres.
Intelligent textile materials and their application. Textile fibre and materials used in composite materials.
Different textile materials used in upholstery furniture industry.
Applications of modern textile materials: sport, clothing for protection, medicine, different industrial and technical textiles etc.
