Koostootmise ajalugu ja arengusuunad. Seadusandlus. Koostootmine Eestis ja Euroopas. Koostootmise süsteemid. Seadmete tüübid ja tehnoloogiad, nende eelised ja puudused.. Kütused. Taastuvenergiaallikad koostootmises.
Auruturbiinjõuseadmed: vasturõhuauruturbiin, vaheltvõttudega auruturbiin. Gaasiturbiinseadmed:
gaasiturbiin koos utilisaatorkatlaga, integreeritud gaasistamisega kombineeritud tsükkel. Sisepõlemismootorid. Stirlingmootor. Mikroturbiin. Kütuseelement. Aurumootor. Orgaanilise Rankine’i ringprotsessiga (ORC) seade. Uued ja arendatavad koostootmise tehnoloogiad. Primaarenergia säästu arvutamine.

History and developments of cogeneration. Regulatory actions. CHP in Estonia and Europe. Cogeneration systems. Types of facilities and technologies, their advantages and disadvantages. Fuels. Renewable energy sources in CHP.
Steam turbines: back-pressure steam turbine, extraction steam turbine. Gas turbines: combined cycle gas turbine, integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC). Internal combustion engines. Stirling engine. Micro turbine. Fuel cell. Steam engine. Organic Rankine cycle. Technologies under research and development. Calculation of primary energy efficiency.
