2. Projekteerida lähteandmete alusel elektrivõrk.
course aims in English
1. To create opportunity to obtain knowledge on electrical network technical and economical analysis and design.
2. Design electrical network following given conditions and analyze its operation.
learning outcomes in the course in Est.
learning outcomes in the course in Eng.
- Compose electrical network project and analyse its operation.
- Compose optimal network configuration and select electrical network components, e.g. transformer, transmission lines, following given initial conditions.
- Assess the influence of different technical and economical constraints to electrical network design.
- Understand and use different mathematical calculation methods, e.g. Newton-Raphson, for electrical network steady-state calculations.
- Understand and use at least one network calculation software (PSS/E, DIgSILENT, Power World Simulator, etc) to assess and analyze network operation.
- Compose the economical part of the project and analyze the influece of different components to end result.
- Understand voltage control principles in transmission networks and analyze the effect of various compensation devices to network operation.
- Analyze network steady-state and dynamic operation.
brief description of the course in Estonian
brief description of the course in English
Selection of electrical network nominal voltages, configuration, schematics, transformers and parameters of transmission lines following technical and economical constraints. Perform network steady-state and dynamic calculations and solve network voltage control challenges. Economical assessment of composed electrical network.
