Üliõpilane:
- koostab elektrialajaama eelprojekti;
- valib elektrialajaama seadmeid lähtuvalt koormus- ja lühisvooludest ning muudest tehnilistest kitsendustest;
- joonestab alajaamade skeemid;
- projekteerib elektrialajaama maanduspaigaldise ja piksekaitse;
- teostab koostatud elektrialajaama majandusliku arvutuse.

- compose substation pre-project;
- select substation equipment based on load and short-circuit currents, and following other technical requirements;
- compose substation schematics;
- design substation earthing grid and lightning protection;
- carries out economical calculations for respective substation design.

Alajaama projekti koostamine. Alajaama töökindluse hinnang. Ülem-, kesk- ja alampinge jaotusseadmete elektriskeemi valik. Trafode valik. Koormusvoolude arvutus. Lühisvoolude arvutus. Lühisvoolu piiravate tehniliste lahenduste valik (vajadusel). Kommutatsiooniaparaatide, mõõtetrafode, liigpinge kaitseseadmete ja omatarbetrafode valik. Kogumislattide ja fiidrite arvutus. Piksekaitse põhimõtteline lahendus. Maandusseade. Alajaama konstruktiivne lahendus. Sekundaarosa arvutused. Alajaama majanduslikud arvutused.

Composing substation project. Assessment of substation reliability. Selection of high- medium- and low voltage switchgear and its schematics. Selection of transformers. Calculation of load currents. Calculation of short-circuti currents. Selection of short-circuit limitation equipment (if necessary). Selection of switching equipment, measurement transformers, surge arresters, and auxiliary transformers and equipment. Calculation of busbars and feeders. Lightning protection solution and calculation. Earthing grid and its calculation. Substation auxiliary calculations and selection of devices. Economic calculations.
