1. Luua võimalus teadmiste omandamiseks energiasüsteemide optimaalse juhtimise valdkonnas.
2. Luua võimalus mõistmaks optimaalenergeetika probleemistikku, kasutatavaid matemaatilisi meetodeid ja analüüsivõimalusi, arvestades informatsiooni olemasolu ja kasutatavust.
3. Luua võimalus teadmiste omandamiseks elektrijaamade koosseisude ja elektrivõrkude talitluse optimeerimisega seotud matemaatilistest mudelitest ja meetoditest.

1. To create opportunity to acquire knowledge on optimal control of energy systems.
2. To create opportunity to understand the problems related to optimal energetics, useable mathematical methods and analyses options considering data availability and usability.
3.To create opportunity to acquire knowledge on models and methods related to optimization of load allocation in power plants operation and power systems.

- mõistab ja kirjeldab energeetika optimeerimise probleemistikku;
- mõistab ja analüüsib koormusjaotuse optimeerimise põhimõtteid soojuselektrijaamadest koosnevas energiasüsteemis ning koostab ja lahendab vastava sisulisi ülesandeid;
- eristab ja võrdleb koormusjaotuse optimeerimise põhimõtteid soojus- ja hüdroelektrijaamadest koosnevas energiasüsteemis;
- mõistab ja kirjeldab energiaagregaatide töökorra ja reservide optimeerimise põhimõtteid;
- mõistab ja analüüsib energiasüsteemide talitluse optimeerimise põhimõtteid mittetäieliku info tingimustes;
- eristab, klassifitseerib ja analüüsib peamisi elektrivõrkude talitluse analüüsiga seotud optimeerimisprobleeme;
- mõistab ja analüüsib optimeerimisprobleemide lahendusalgoritme ning kasutab neid probleemide lahendamisel;
- arvutab ja analüüsib optimeerimisprobleeme kasutades arvutustarkvara.

- understand and describe power system optimization problems and their characteristics;
- understand and analyze principles of load distribution optimization between thermal power plants in the system and composes and solves corresponding tasks;
- distinguish and compare the principles of load distribution optimization between thermal and hydropower plants;
- understand and describe the principles of optimization for unit commitment and reserve;
- understand and analyze principles of optimization of energy system operation under incomplete information;
- distinguish, classify and analyze the main optimization problems related to electricity networks operation analysis;
- understand and analyze solution algorithms for optimization problems and apply these for solving problems;
- calculate and analyze optimization problems using respective computer software.

Energiasüsteemi optimeerimise probleemid. Ülevaade matemaatiliste optimeerimismeetodite kasutamisest energeetikas. Koormusjaotuse optimeerimine soojuselektrijaamadest koosnevas energiasüsteemis arvestades kadusid elektrivõrkudes. Reaktiivvõimsuste genereerimise optimeerimine. Energiasüsteemi püsitalitluse kompleksne optimeerimine. Koormusjaotuse optimeerimine soojus- ja hüdroelektrijaamadest koosnevas energiasüsteemis. Agregaatide töökorra optimeerimine. Reservide optimeerimine. Energiasüsteemi talitluse optimeerimise põhimõtted mittetäieliku info tingimustes. Elektrivõrgu püsitalitluse estimeerimine lähtudes mõõteandmetest. Elektrivõrkude talitluse optimeerimine.

Optimization of load distribution between thermal power plants considering losses in electric networks. Optimization of reactive power generation. Optimal power flow in power system.
