Energiabilanss ja energiavood. Primaarenergia varustus, energia muundamine ja tarbimine (lõpp- ja kasulik tarbimine). Plaanimiseks vajalikud algandmed ja nende saamise võimalused. Etalonenergiasüsteem. Stsenaariumite väljatöötamise põhimõtted. Pikaajalise energiatarbe prognoosi koostamine erinevatele majandusharudele. Energiasäästu arvestamine. Olemasolevate ja uute võimalike energiasüsteemi tehnoloogiate kirjeldamine. Energiavõrkude (elektri-, kaugkütte- ja gaasivõrkude) plaanimine. Poliitika, makromajanduse, keskkonnakaitse seosed energeetikaga. Plaanimise eripära regionaalsel, üldriiklikul ja rahvusvahelisel tasandil. Plaanimise eripära lühi-, kesk- ja pikas ajaperspektiivis. Energeetika plaanimise matemaatiliste mudelid. Energiasüsteemimudel LEAP. Elektriturumudel Balmorel. Energiatarbimine transpordis.

Energy balance and energy flows. Primary source of energy, energy transformation and consumption. Data necessary for energy planing and ways to obtain this data. Standard energy system. Scenario development principles. Long term energy consumption forecast for different econimic fields. Energy saving assessment. Current and future energy system technologies. Planning of energy networks (electricity, district heating and gas networks). Policy, macroeconomics and environmental protection relations to energetics. Special features related to planning at regional, at country and at international level. Special features of planning on short-term, medium-term and long-term time perspective. Energy planning mathematical models. Energy system model LEAP. Lectricity market model Balmorel. Energy consumption in transport.
