The aim of this course is to provide knowledge of automation and its components used in marine technology.

Õppeaine läbinud üliõpilane:
- valib ettenähtud ülesannete ja rakenduste tarbeks sobiva anduri;
- oskab ühendada andureid PLC süsteemiga;
- rakendab meretehnikaalaseid spetsiifilisi reegleid kontrollerite ja andurite valikult;
- koostab P&ID diagramme.

- chooses the proper sensor for the intended tasks and applications;
- can connect sensors to the PLC system;
- applies marine engineering specific rules to a selection of controllers and sensors;

Kursus sisaldab:
- Andurid (temperatuuri-, niiskuse-, mahu-, kaalu-, asendi-, Hall’i-, optilised-, gaasi- jne andurid) - põhiprintsiibid, rakendusalad meretehnikas, signaalitöötlus;
- Andurite kalibreerimine;
- Pea ja alamsüsteemid;
- Erinevad andurite tüübid ning nende arhitektuur;
- Kontrollerite rakendused;
- PLC vs PC põhised süsteemid.

- Sensors (temperature, humidity, volume, weight, position, Hall, optical, gas, etc. sensors) - basic principles, areas of application in marine engineering, signal processing;
- Calibration of sensors;
- Main and subsystems;
- Different types of sensors and their architecture;
- Controller applications;
- PLC vs PC-based systems.
