VERSION SPECIFIC DATA
course aims in Estonian
Õppeaine eesmärk on:
- haridustaseme tõstmine füüsika valdkondades, mis on vajalikud erialakursuse omandamiseks;
- süsteemse, füüsikalise maailmapildi kujundamine teaduslikul alusel.
course aims in English
The aim of this course is to:
-improve the level of education in the regions of physics, that are necessary to attain a course in the given field;
-shape a systemic physics-based worldview on a scientific basis.
learning outcomes in the course in Est.
Aine läbinud üliõpilane:
- kirjeldab füüsika seadusi, põhimudeleid ja nende rakendatavuse piire;
- kasutab füüsikalisi suurusi ja ühikuid;
- kirjeldab füüsikakatsete läbiviimise põhialuseid ja hindab katsetulemusi, tulemuste mõõtemääramatust;
- seostab põhilisi füüsikalisi nähtusi ümbritseva keskkonna toimimise kirjeldamisel ja analüüsil;
- oskab ülesandeid loogiliselt analüüsida ja lahendada.
learning outcomes in the course in Eng.
After completing this course, the student:
- describes the laws of physics, models and the limitations for their applications;
- uses physical units and sizes;
- describes the premises for conducting physics experiments and can evaluate the outcomes, evaluates the uncertainty of measurements in said experiments;
- associates main physics phenomena when describing and analyzes the workings of the surrounding environment;
- is able to analyse and solve tasks using logic.
brief description of the course in Estonian
Aine on mõeldud keskkonna(kaitse)tehnoloogia erialade ning loodushuvidega üliõpilastele. Sissejuhatus füüsikaliste mõõtmiste alustest: mehhaanika, hüdrostaatika, mehhaanilised võnkumised ja lained, akustika, hüdrodünaamika, pidades silmas looduskeskkonna (atmosfäär, hüdrosfäär, litosfäär, elusorganismid) füüsikalist kirjeldamist. Molekulaarfüüsika, termodünaamika, optika ja päikesekiirgus looduskeskkonnas (atmosfäär, veekogud, elusorganismid). Entroopia mõiste ja seos informaatikaga. Tuumaenergia. Energia, töö ja võimsus.
brief description of the course in English
The subject is meant for environmental(protection) technology specialties and for students with an interest in nature. Introduction to fundamental physical measurements: mechanics, hydrostatics, mechanical vibrations and waves, acoustics, hydrodynamics, keeping in mind the physical description of the natural environment (atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, living organisms). Molecular physics, thermodynamics, optics and solar radiation in a natural environment (atmosphere, bodies of water, living organisms). The concept of entropy and its relation to computer science. Nuclear energy. Energy, work and power.
