Study programme aims and objectives
The aim of the curriculum is to train change managers, who contribute to digitalization of health care.
Systematic and thorough knowledge is obtained about health care technologies, healthcare digitalization, different e-health technologies and implementation of new innovative technologies. Graduates understand how medicine, IT and health care interact and are able to gather specialized knowledge and skills how to interpret that knowledge in critical, analytical and creative manner in order to contribute to changes improving healthcare, either at health care service providers, public or private sector organizations. Completion of the curriculum in the required amount, and the successful defence of the graduation paper in conformity with the requirements set by the TalTech Senate.

Aims
The objective of the module is to acquire deeper knowledge in of e-health technologies and change management of such technologies.
Learning outcomes
Student:
- knows the different data systems used in Estonian hospitals and healthcare organisations;
- will understand the main monetary flows in healthcare and how the cash-flows affect the behavior of the involved parties, as well as what must be taken into account in funding new services and technologies;
- will know what are the main process steps and methods in designing and evaluating an e-service in health care;
- got a systematic overview of the functioning of the health care system on all management levels (quality, strategic, financial and human resource management);
- is capable of produce an impact and/or cost-benefit analysis;
- knows the different coding systems and objectives of their usage.
Is able to use the concepts of epidemiology (primary illness, mortality, prevalence, survival) in the population;
