skills and attitudes guided by the occupational qualifications of landscape architects’ occupational standard in Estonia and by the IFLA Charter for landscape architectural education. To prepare specialists with a master degree, having the capabilities to work in various public and private sector positions demanding the qualification of a landscape architect.

- analyses main challenges and developments in the field of landscape architecture both in local and international context;
- synthesises professional knowledge about environment, culture, contemporary professional developments and legislation and plans physical and social environment according to contemporary demands and local need on any spatial scale;
- applies cross-disciplinary thinking and communication in planning situation and presents project results convincingly both graphically and verbally, has interdisciplinary teamwork experience;
- implements knowledge and skills necessary for a landscape architect in solving professional tasks with an emphasis on design skills, spatial planning and landscape engineering skills;
- manages spatial change and –projects in a creative and independent manner;
- describes and reasons over the quality and environmental impact of different landscape architectural solutions;
- communicates professionally in study language and in one foreign language both verbally and in writing;
- evaluates the need for the continued training of self and others and for all-around life-long progress of professional skills and knowledge.
Graduation requirements
Completing the required volume of studies and successfully defending one's thesis according to the rules established by the council of TTÜ.
