Õppeaine üldeesmärgiks on anda teadmised Informatsioonisüsteemide mõnest kitsamast teemast, tutvustada teemaga seonduvaid tehnikaid, lahendamaks spetsiifilisi probleemolukordi ning toetada töötamist eripärase teadusliku erialase kirjandusega.

General objectives of the subject are to provide insights into a special topic of Information Systems, introduce techniques associated with the topic to specific problem settings, and to facilitate the working with specific scientific literature.

Õppeaine edukalt läbinud üliõpilane:
- Demonstreerib laiapõhjalisi teadmisi kitsamast informatsioonisüsteemide teemast;
- Suudab rakendada teemakohaseid tehnikaid spesiifilistes probleemolukordades;
- Näitab võimekust töötada spetsiifilise erialase kirjandusega – omab oskusi kirjandusest ülevaate tegemiseks, otsida ning analüüsida erialast kirjandust.

After successfully passing the subject the student:
- Demonstrates deepened insight into a special topic of Information Systems;
- Can apply techniques associated with the topic to specific problem settings;
- Demonstrates ability to work with specific scientific literature - has skills for literature review, searching and analyzing academic literature.

Aktuaalse või klassikalise teemaga laiendatuna Informatsioonisüsteemide "meetoditesse" või "domeenidesse" või asuvana Infosüsteemide ja informaatikateaduste / matemaatika / ärijuhtimise piirialadel. Antud ainekursus ühendab loengud, mida pakutakse ainult üks kord või ebakorrapäraselt, nt külalislektorid või teised õppejõud, kes on instituudis vaid piiratud aja jooksul. Loengu sisu tehakse teatavaks ülikooli kalendris ja tavaliselt tutvustatakse seminaril-esitlus, mis toimub eelmisel semestril.

An actual or classical topic extending to the “Methods” or to the “Domains” of Information Systems or being located in the border areas of Information Systems and Computer Science/Mathematics/Business Administration. This module integrates lectures which are offered only once or at irregular intervals, e.g. by guest lecturers or by other lecturers who are members of the institute only for a limited time. Content of the lecture are announced in the university calendar and are usually introduced during the seminar-presentation which takes place in the preceding term.

Arvestus kujuneb järgnevalt:
100% - Kirjalik eksam (120 minutit)
Hinnatakse üliõpilaste mõistmist loengutes käsitletu osas.

The grade forms as follows:
100% - Final Written Exam (120 minutes)
Students` understanding about the content of lectures will be evaluated.

Üliõpilastelt eeldatakse lugemismaterjali läbitöötamist valitud Informatsioonisüsteemide teemadel, mis valmistavad nad ette kirjalikuks eksamiks.

Students are expected to work through the reading materials on the selected topics of Information Systems in order to be prepared for a written exam.
