Praktika eesmärk on õpingute käigus omandatud teoreetiliste teadmiste ja praktiliste oskuste rakendamine töökeskkonnas, iseseisva ja meeskonnatöö oskuse arendamine ning õppekava läbinud tudengile erialase töökogemuse tagamine tõstmaks õppuri konkurentsivõimet tööjõuturul.

The goals of the internship are to apply the theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired in the course of studies in a work environment, the development of independent and team-working skills, and to ensure that students who have completed the curriculum have professional experience which will increase the student’s competitiveness in the labor market.

Tudeng:
- oskab valida ja rakendada ülesannete lahendamisel asjakohaseid töövõtteid ja meetodeid ning leida vajadusel sellekohast täiendavat lisainfot;
- oskab koguda ja tõlgendada erialast informatsiooni, sealjuures selgitada ja argumenteerida tehtud valikuid ja otsuseid;
- oskab dokumenteerida ja analüüsida ettevõttepraktikal saadud kogemusest õpitut;
- seostab koolis õpitut ja ettevõttepraktikal täidetud tööülesandeid;
- suudab töötada iseseisvalt ja meeskonnas, suhtub sallivalt hoiakute ja väärtuste mitmekesisusse;
- oskab koostada praktika aruannet;
- oskab kaitsta praktika aruannet (ei kohaldu praktika lihtmenetluse korras läbimisel);
- omab erialast töökogemust.

The student:
- is able to select and implement appropriate work techniques and methods for completing tasks and, if necessary, to find relevant additional information;
- is able to collect and interpret specialist information and also clarify and explain the choices and decisions made;
- is able to document and analyze what he or she learned from the enterprise internship experience;
- is able to make connections between formal education and the tasks completed during enterprise internship;
- is able to work independently and in a team, is tolerant towards a diversity of attitudes and values;
- is able to create an enterprise internship report;
- is able to defend an enterprise internship report (does not apply to simplified procedure)
- has professional experience.

Praktikaks loetakse kindlaksmääratud ajaperioodi, mille vältel tudeng on lepinguliselt seotud praktikat pakkuva tööandjaga, täites õppekavakohaseid ülesandeid.

Praktikaperioodi maht praktikaorganisatsioonis on 560 tundi (14 nädalat täiskoormuse puhul).

Praktikat on võimalik läbida tavakorras (tööandjapoolsel juhendamisel) või lihtmenetluse korras (iseseisvalt, eelneva vähemalt aastase õppekavaga seonduva töökogemuse olemasolul). Praktika arvestamiseks tuleb esitada mõlemal juhul hindamisele praktikaaruanne. Tavakorras praktika läbimise puhul tuleb aruannet täiendavalt kaitsta komisjoni ees.

Praktika läbimisel tuleb lähtuda TalTechi Infoteholoogia teaduskonna kodulehel asuvatest juhistest
(https://www.taltech.ee/praktika-ICO) ning dekaani kinnitatud praktikajuhendist õppekavadele IDAR, IDDR, IDSR, IDCR, IAAB, IADB, IVSB.

Praktika sisu peab vastama õppekavakohastele nõuetele ja praktikaainele on määratud eeldusained. Eeldusained peavad olema läbitud tavakorras praktika läbimisel praktikaperioodi alguseks. Lihtmenetluse korras praktika läbimisel (eelneva aastase erialase töökogemuse olemasolul) praktika arvestamise taotlemise hetkeks. Nõuded praktika sisule ja eeldusainete loetelu on välja toodud ainekava info väljal asuvas failis

An internship is a fixed time period during which the student is contractually linked to an employer for curriculum-based tasks.

The internship period in an internship organisatsion is 560 hours (14 weeks of full-load).

Internship can be passed either according to a normal procedure (under the supervision) or according to a simplified procedure (independently if previous curriculum related work excperience exists for a minimum period of 12 months). For acceptance of internship a students must present an internship report. Under normal procedure the report must be additionally defended before a committee.

The content of the interenship must correspornd to the requirements of the study prorgram and internship subject has prerequisite subjects. The prerequisite subjects must be passed under regular procedure by the time the internship period starts and under simplified procedure by the time of submitting the internship evaluation application. The requirements for the content and the list of prerequisites can be found in a file under the section „lecturer's syllabus information“.
